Automatic Watermarking and Brand Consistency for Documents Printed by Your Xerox MFP
Imagine that you had a large collection of digitized documents. You want to print them, but they all need to have your company’s watermark placed onto them. At the outset, this may seem like a seriously daunting task, since adding a watermark to dozens or even hundreds of documents would be very difficult to do by hand on your computer. Fortunately, with Xerox, the process is easy, and you don’t have to modify any of your original files.
Most modern Xerox MFPs have a watermark feature which can automatically stamp any image you want onto your documents without modifying the original files. You have total control over the placement and transparency of the image. While exact configuration varies from one model to another, typically you will be able to set this up on the printer itself or through the embedded web server.
Your Xerox MFP likely also has an overlay feature. The overlay feature allows you to add additional images, text, or other elements that you may want to appear on every single document you print (or just some, the change doesn’t have to be permanent!). The most straightforward example might be a company heading that you want to appear on every document. This helps easily achieve brand consistency without having to modify any of your already existing digital files.
Automatically Redact Sensitive Text From Documents (One-by-One or in Bulk)
If you need to redact sensitive information from one or many documents, such as names, addresses, phone numbers, Social Security numbers, or other personally identifying information, it’s easy to do with the Xerox Auto-Redaction App. Once you’ve installed the app on your Xerox MFP, begin by choosing your criteria. The app includes many pre-set options for the various kinds of PII you might want to remove. Check the ones that you want, scan your document or import a digital file, view a preview on the display screen, and then go ahead and print your fully redacted document.
Of course, you aren’t limited to preset redaction criteria. You can make custom redaction types, which are easy to add, and there’s a lot of flexibility built right into the app so that you can remove not just sensitive information, but any kind of information easily.
