Xerox makes security much easier for organizations without dedicated IT support. For example, you can set up easy-but-secure user authentication that makes sense for your business—and you have several options. Whether you want your staff to authenticate themselves to the printer with a traditional username and password combination, by scanning a QR code with their phone, or swiping an ID card, the choice is up to you.
In addition to authentication methods, Xerox multifunction printers have many other security features. Secure release printing is one of the best ways to reduce the mishandling (or theft!) of documents in busy offices. Sometimes called pull printing, this is a security solution that requires the user to be physically present at the printer and authenticate themselves before the printer processes their task—substantially reducing the chances of important documents being forgotten in the tray. As an added bonus side effect, secure release printing also reduces the accidental waste of print resources like paper and toner.
